Meet Chad Corbin
Chad Corbin is a seasoned financial executive with extensive experience in accounting, finance, and strategic management. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Accounting and Finance and an MBA from the University of North Carolina Wilmington, graduating in 2012.
Chad’s career spans several high-impact roles in diverse industries. He began his professional journey at Ferguson Enterprises working as the Credit Manager and later the Operations Manager for the Jacksonville, FL branch. He later made his way back to Wilmington, NC to take the opportunity at Filmwerks International, where he served as Controller and then later CFO/General Manager during his nine years with the company. At Filmwerks, Chad played a crucial role in overseeing financial operations, maintaining the company’s banking relationships, managing key customer accounts, and creating the company’s strategic plan for expanding their operations across the country.
Following his tenure at Filmwerks, Chad took on the role of Controller at Audioengine, a leading innovator in high-end audio equipment. Over a period of six years, he managed and developed support across multiple departments, including accounting, fulfillment, production, and sales. Chad was instrumental in onboarding the team onto the ADP Totalsource payroll system, overseeing inventory management, and executing several software integrations used for sales and operations. His contributions also extended to strategic advice for business opportunities and supporting the marketing team with omni-channel sales strategies.
Chad’s expertise in financial management was further demonstrated during his time as CFO at Manufacturing Methods. Here, he was responsible for financial and HR decisions across three companies, managing multiple sets of books, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. His role involved developing budgets, reconciling bank registers, and evaluating financial systems for necessary upgrades.
Currently, Chad serves as the Chief Financial Officer at Off the Hook Yacht Sales. His comprehensive background in financial management, coupled with his strategic insight and hands-on experience, makes him a valuable asset in achieving financial excellence.
