Meet Brett Stancill

I was born in Greenville, NC, and raised most of my life there on the farm before moving to Raleigh with my family when I was young. I attended high school and soon after graduating I knew I belonged on the coast and moved to Wilmington immediately. Growing up, my father always had a boat. I love fishing and all water sports. I knew since I first stepped foot on a boat, that I belonged on and around the water.

I have a strong passion for boating and attended college where I obtained my Applied Sciences degree in Marine Technology. Also, I obtained my 50 ton Master Captain’s License. I have owned 3 boats myself over the past 8 years and will have a boat for the rest of my life! I’m glad to be a part of the team here at Off The Hook, the staff is amazing and our boats are simply beautiful. There is no greater joy in life than the sun on your skin, the wind in your hair, and the fresh smell of the salt air while enjoying an afternoon cruise on the boat!
